IMMOIL-8 Immersion Oil ne=1.518 Nikon 50ml for Microscope Objectives

immersion oil is designed for oil immersion microscope objectives.
Because oil immersion objectives have high magnification and a very small first lens element with limited light throughput, part of the light refracts and is lost when passing through media of different densities, resulting in reduced light, dark field of view and unclear observation. The solution is to add a medium with a refractive index similar to glass between the lens and the slide to compensate for the light loss.
The refractive index of immersion oil is closest to that of cover glasses, and using them together maximizes the objective light collection capability.
