Screws in the M3/M4 kits suit the installation of optical posts and mounts; M6 kits are commonly used to fix optomechanical components on optical platforms; nylon-tip screws are commonly used to fix optical elements in mounts to avoid damaging or squeezing the elements or other mating parts.
